Angels Rising in the News

Now that tickets for Angels Rising have gone on sale there has been some strong interest from local business and community media.

We are delighted that a quarter of all tables have been sold already, but Western Australian businessman and long-time Anglicare supporter, Warwick Hemsley, is keen to promote further sales for this worthy cause.

Recently he was joined by Anglicare WA Chairman, John Barrington, in St Georges’ Cathedral itself for a photo opportunity with the Western Suburbs Weekly.

“It’s all about coming together as a community and focusing on children who experience or witness family domestic violence,” Mr Hemsley said.

Mr Barrington said the Young Hearts program which will be the beneficiary of charity funds raised, was currently struggling to maintain its two outreach locations Perth’s southern region.

“Apart from being a wonderful night out, this charity event will have a real impact on resourcing the Mandurah office and hopefully re-opening the Rockingham one,” Mr Barrington said.
